Terms of use.

The agreement between you and Poku, including subscription terms and the limits of what Poku's advice is.

Last updated

These terms govern your use of Poku. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Poku.

Poku is not financial advice

This is the most important thing on the page, so it goes first.

Poku is an informational tool. It helps you record what you spend, understand your own patterns, and think about your money. It is not a financial adviser, and nothing it says is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

Poku’s answers are generated by a language model working from the data you entered. It is built to read your real figures rather than invent them, but it can still be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Treat what it says as a starting point for your own thinking, never as a recommendation to act on. For decisions that matter, talk to a qualified professional.

You are responsible for your own financial decisions. We are not liable for them.

Your licence to use the app

Your licence to use the Poku iOS application is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the “Standard EULA”, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

These terms supplement that agreement. Where the two conflict on the subject of your licence to the application itself, the Standard EULA governs.

Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in method secure, and for everything done through your account.

One account is for one person. Do not share it.

Plans and payment

Poku has a free tier and a paid subscription called Poku Pro.

The free tier includes 15 chat messages a day and 75 a week, up to 50 manually logged transactions held at once, 3 custom categories, 2 recurring rules, and 2 pockets. The transaction limit is a limit on how many you hold at a time, not how many you may ever log: delete one and the slot is free again. Transactions created automatically by a recurring rule do not count against it.

Poku Pro costs $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Prices vary by region and are set in the App Store; the price shown to you at purchase is the price that applies. Pro raises the message limits to 200 a day and 700 a week and removes the caps on transactions, categories, recurring rules, and pockets.

Subscriptions are sold through the App Store and billed to your Apple Account. They renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store, under your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, not by us.

We may change prices or what each plan includes. If a change affects an active subscription, it takes effect at your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

Fair use

Please do not: use Poku for anything unlawful; try to break, overload, or probe the service; work around the limits of your plan; access the API by automated means outside the app; reverse engineer the app except where law expressly permits it; or attempt to reach another person’s data.

We apply rate limits and abuse protections to everyone. We may suspend an account that is damaging the service for others.

Availability

We work to keep Poku running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change or be withdrawn. We will not remove something significant without notice in the app.

Ending it

You may stop using Poku at any time and delete your account from within the app, which permanently deletes your data as described in the privacy policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.

Warranties and liability

Poku is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Poku is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for financial decisions you make.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer you keep your statutory rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last change, and significant changes will be flagged in the app. Continuing to use Poku after a change means the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and the courts of Indonesia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local law and may bring proceedings where you live.
