The first release proved the idea. This one is mostly about the gap between what you said and what Poku actually wrote down, because that gap is the only thing that matters in a money app. Most of it came from people using it and telling us where it broke.
Voice, on every iPhone
- The voice button is no longer iOS 26 only. Older iPhones get it too, so dictating an expense works whichever phone you carry.
- A Reset pill clears a false start without closing the overlay, for when the first few words come out wrong.
- The overlay no longer spills the rest of your chat behind it, and your reply now renders inside the overlay instead of appearing only after you close it.
Logging what you actually said
- Long lists log correctly. Say eleven things in one message and you get eleven transactions and eleven cards. Repeated amounts are no longer collapsed, and one mention is never logged twice.
- A date said once covers the whole list. “All of these were yesterday” now applies to every item instead of only the first.
- Named months are read properly. “8 August” lands in August, in whichever order you write it, and a date Poku cannot read is asked about rather than guessed at.
- Amounts in your own shorthand are understood when picking which transaction you mean, not just when logging it.
- Messages past the twenty-transaction limit now say so instead of quietly stopping.
Deleting from chat
Deleting was the most reported problem in 1.0.0. It has been rebuilt.
- Confirming a delete now deletes it. The row is resolved and held by the app, not carried in the conversation, so a “yes” removes the transaction you were shown.
- Delete by amount when several rows share a name: “delete the 15 dollar parking”.
- Poku answers a plain delete request from your transactions rather than from memory, so it no longer claims a row does not exist while it is on your dashboard.
- One clear question and one card per delete, instead of the same thing said three times.
Repeats
- One sheet for repeats, with intervals (“every 2 weeks”) and an ending date.
- A repeat that starts in the past asks first, and tells you how many past transactions it is about to record.
- A repeat card in chat opens its rule when you tap it.
- Repeats on chosen days (“every workday”) are refused with an explanation, rather than quietly becoming a daily one that charges you seven times a week instead of five.
Dashboard and search
- Swipe to delete a transaction, on the dashboard and in search results.
- Search is transactions only now, which is what it was being used for.
- The Overview survives rotation, money in the budget strip cannot clip, and rows Poku titled itself are marked so you can tell them from your own wording.
Under the hood, but you will feel it
- Poku no longer says it did something it did not do. Every claim about saving, changing or deleting is checked against what actually happened before you see it.
- A reply survives leaving the app. Ask something, switch away, come back, and the answer is there.
- Categories admit when they do not know. An unfamiliar item lands in Miscellaneous, where one tap files it and teaches Poku, instead of being filed confidently in the wrong place where you would never notice.
- Changing your budget between weekly and monthly now tells you what that cleared.
