Version 1.0.2 · 8 September 2026

Money you haven't spent yet.

Log tomorrow's rent, give a repeat an ending, watch Poku work instead of a spinner, swipe between your two screens, and get replies in your own language about a third faster.

1.0.1 was about writing down what you said correctly. This one is about the things you could not say at all: a payment that has not happened yet, and a repeat that stops. Both were reported by people using it, and both turned out to be missing words rather than missing features.

Money you haven’t spent yet

  • “Groceries 60 tomorrow” now works. In 1.0.1 it answered “Nothing was saved”, which was honest but useless. Tomorrow, the day after, next week, next Monday and “in 3 days” all land on the day you meant, in whichever language you write them.
  • Two phrases used to go backwards in silence. “Next Monday” filed the Monday that had already passed, and “in 3 days” filed three days ago. Money landed on a day you never said, with nothing on screen to notice.
  • You can move a transaction forward too. Editing one to a future date used to be refused with “a transaction can only be moved to a day that has happened”, which was never true.

Anything pointing forward that Poku cannot read is now asked about rather than guessed at.

Repeats that stop

  • “Car payment every month until April 2027” sets a repeat that ends. So does “until December”, or a count: “gym membership 12x”.
  • “The last day of every month” means the last day, not the 30th. Those are the same date in April and different ones in January, so it is a real distinction rather than a nicety.
  • Ask when something ends and Poku knows. An ending set in the Repeats sheet was previously invisible in chat.
  • Add, move or remove an ending later, and see it on the repeat’s card.

Repeat monthly, without the double charge

  • Tapping Repeat monthly on a future-dated transaction no longer charges it twice. Log wifi for next week, tap the chip, and the rule used to start on that same day, on top of the payment already on your books.
  • A payment on the 31st stays on the 31st. The rule used to settle on the 30th, or the 28th out of January, and stay there.

A wait that tells you what it’s doing

  • Poku says which step it is on while it works, instead of one line that was true for a second and stale for the rest.
  • Cards appear as soon as they are saved, roughly two seconds earlier than before, rather than being held back until the whole reply is ready.
  • One indicator for the whole wait, not a spinner that swaps for another spinner.
  • The status line’s shimmer never dims below readable, and turns off entirely under Reduce Motion.

Your two screens are one swipe apart

  • Swipe in from the right edge to open the other screen, and back from the left edge to return. It follows your finger, so you can change your mind halfway.
  • Default screen decides which one is home. Set it to Dashboard and the whole thing mirrors: Dashboard becomes the screen you land on and keeps the menu, with Chat one swipe to the right.
  • The menu lives on your home screen, where a drawer belongs.

Answers, in your language

  • Poku answers the question you asked, in the language you asked it in. Someone asked for a savings breakdown and got their salary logged, a reply in a different language from the one they wrote in, two parenthetical notes explaining itself, a sign-off, and no breakdown. Advice and breakdowns are things Poku is for, and it now gives them, without signing off like a letter.

Faster

  • Replies come back about a third quicker on the second half of a turn. Poku was re-sending its whole toolbox on the step that only writes the sentence: 30% fewer tokens, and a faster reply for the same answer.
  • A conversation now stays on one machine. The same model measured 38 tokens a second on one host and 1,725 on another, which is most of the difference between a quick reply and a slow one.
  • A slow turn no longer looks like a dead one. Your phone had no response at all for up to fifteen seconds, so the app could not tell “still thinking” from “the connection dropped”.

Fixes

  • An expense that vanished. Occasionally a reply came back as unreadable symbols and nothing was logged at all. Measured at roughly one turn in fifteen before the fix, and none after.
  • Retrying a failed send no longer logs it twice. Send with no signal, tap Retry, and the first attempt had sometimes already reached us.
  • A failed first load now offers a Retry that works. It previously did nothing for the rest of the session, on the one screen with nothing else on it.
  • The composer no longer floats mid-screen with nothing under it after the keyboard has gone.
  • The Transactions tab is a glance again: in, out and net for the month, with the budget detail on the Overview where it can be checked. A daily allowance you cannot verify is one you cannot trust, and the figure now rounds to money you can actually spend rather than to fractions of a coin that does not exist.
  • Money never wraps mid-number. A figure broken across two lines reads as a different, much smaller number.
  • A reply with a hole in it. A screen-height empty gap could open in the middle of a message, with a stranded paragraph below it, and it persisted in your history.
  • Cards no longer jump from above the reply to below it at the moment a turn finishes.
  • When Poku is at its daily limit it says so honestly. It used to say “busy, try again in a moment” and ask your phone to retry every thirty seconds against a wall that could last until the next morning. 1.0.1 gets the honest wording too, without updating.
  • Onboarding’s messages land instead of gliding, and no longer wait behind a fake typing pause.
  • The same category reads the same way on every screen.
